The next City Council Election is May 4, 2019 

The Richardson City Council elections take place in May of odd years.

To vote in Texas, you must be registered. Simply pick up a voter registration application, fill it out, and mail it at least 30 days before the election date.

Beginning with the May 2019 election, voters who live in both Dallas County and Collin County may vote early at Richardson Civic Center/City Hall, in addition to any other early voting location in their county of residence. 



Early Voting Period: 

Monday, April 22 - Friday, April 26 -   8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday, April 27 - 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, April 28 - 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Monday, April 29 - Tuesday, April 30 - 7 a.m.-7 p.m

Richardson City Council
The Richardson City Council is composed of seven (7) members - six Council members (Places 1 thru 6) and the Mayor (Place 7), elected by the qualified voters of the entire city to serve a two (2) year term. No person elected or appointed shall serve more than six (6) consecutive terms. The uniform election day for the City of Richardson is the first Saturday in May (odd years).

Council Districts
Candidates for Place 1, 2, 3, and 4 must reside in the corresponding district. Candidates for Places 5, 6 and the Mayor (Place 7) may reside in any portion of the City. Voters may cast ballots on all seven places.
